The Siamese crocodile (Crocodylus siamensis) is a small to medium-sized freshwater crocodile native to Indonesia (Borneo and possibly Java), Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species is critically endangered and already extirpated from many regions. There are Community Crocodiles Farms that raise crocodiles for sale in local markets or abroad. In local markets, there are crocodile leather shops that produce a lot of products as well as dried or fresh crocodile meat for sale to the tourists in Siem Reap. There are also middle men from Vietnam and Thailand that buy crocodiles for export to China.
